Carina & Keegan

Our Story

Despite both of us going to the same small college and having many friends in common, Keegan and I only met years after we had both graduated. We missed each other by a year.

Our first date was under the pretense of discussing accounting for a project, but we ended up talking together until late into the night, freezing outside in below 40 degree weather as our teeth chattered.

He asked me to officially date him on our second date and meeting, and followed up immediately after by asking if I would be okay if he wore a kilt to our wedding.

I said yes. And he wore a kilt for our wedding.

We have one surviving son, Boethius, and five children that we mourned together after losing them in miscarriages- Sam, Innocent, Jacob, Michael, and Maura.

Keegan died unexpectedly on September 18th, 2022. Exactly thirty years to the day of his baptism. He is buried with Innocent.

He was my best friend, my protector, my compass. Everything I do will forever be in his honour.

Requiescat in Pace, my Love.
